Pre-Production
Pre-Production is the interpetative brain-storming of your animation. You picture the characters, actions, sceneries and even the camera poses on storyboards. It is also where voice acting is recorded.
Blocking
After Pre-Production, you polish every character, picture, and scene with it official animating artwork. You pin-point all of your actions with your characters and environments with keys on your animation's durations which should refer to your pre-production.
Final
Finally, after the polishing and blocking, you add motion between the keys to the characters and environments and induce the aspects of life. The purpose of animation is to make your creations come alive and therefore, physics always apply at a final production of your animation projects.
